Tobias has been fencing for 16 years, and been in love with edged weapons even before that. Starting with Olympic fencing, he then took up Italian knife and stick, and eventually started looking into sabre, smallsword and bayonet, and has also gotten involved with Haitian machete fencing. Today, he is head of Fechtboden Zimmermann in Munich and has given workshops at quite a few domestic and international events. He is a member of the Akademie der Fechtkunst Deutschlands (""German Academy of the Art of Fencing"") and Europe Development Coordinator of the Haitian Machete Fencing Project and holds a teaching permit for Genoese fighting arts issued by Maestro Claudio Parodi.
