Weapon: Dussack
Deception is a vital component of a powerful engagement with dussack, especially when the opponent is used to managing the time and space in combat. The workshop focuses on upgrading the tactical capacities of the weapon with deception or in PC lingo: “creating opportunities”.
Skill level of Participants: Needed: some experience and background in walking, standing upright, knowing one’s left-from-right, paying attention to instructions and allowing oneself to enjoy.
Needed Equipment: Dussack (leather, wood, nylon), Mask, gloves, basic protection
About the trainer – Roman Vučajnk
Roman Vučajnk (1977) has been involved with HEMA since the early 2000s. At first he focused on mediaeval German martial heritage; now he is more attracted to styles of urban combat of the 16th and 17th centuries.
The legacy of Joachim Meyer is of a particular interest to him, and he is pleased to see quality output by an increasing number of Meyerists taking root.
He teaches at Academia artis dimicatoriae (Slovenia) and has had the privilege of teaching and sharing at a number of workshops and events throughout Europe.
Roman is a member of HEMAC and an honorary member of De Taille et d’Estoc and Asociación para el Estudio y Desarrollo de las Artes Marciales Europeas.
