Break and take – The anonymous dagger techniques of the Goliath Fechtbuch

Why just disarming your opponent, if you can break his wrist or arm and throw him to the ground?

Weapon: Dagger

Source: Goliath Fechtbuch (MS germ. quart. 2020)

The anonymous dagger section of the Goliath Fechtbuch contains very interesting pieces that focus mostly on disarming and disabling an attacking opponent. We will go through some of these techniques with you and hope you have fun breaking arms and throwing your partners.

Skill level of Participants: All skill levels, however it would be advantageous if you are able to fall without hurting yourself.
Needed Equipment:  A training dagger of your choice. We will bring 20, so there should be enough. Furthermore it might help to have something to protect your wrist and lower arm. Boxing bandages have worked fine for us so far. However it’s not required, neither is a Mask, but I guess you will bring one anyway.
