Dr. Alfred Geibig (born 1954 in Aschaffenburg) studied prehistory and early history, anthropology and classical archeology in Mainz and Kiel. 1987 Doctorate in Kiel. Dissertation topic: "The morphological development of the sword in the Middle Ages". Since 1989 art collections of the Veste Coburg, head of the department for historical weapons.
