How to make the first strike without the danger of being easily counter struck in Liechtenauer Longsword.

Weapon: Longsword

This workshop requires a reasonable knowledge of Feeling/Feulen in the blade.
This workshop is about how to put the one of the main ideas of Liechtenauer into practice in a simple way: Make the first strike, second strike, third strike and so on so the opponent can come to no work.
Therefore we will do the following:
First learn a different mindset that subtly changes the way you operate in combat. Second learn a new analysis of how Liechtenauer works, in simple and concise terms. Then we put it into practice. Using a simple approach we learn to how to make the first strike, the second strike and the third strike and so on so that the opponent can not strike you in reply. This depends upon understanding an easy method of applying Indes to every situation, using what I call the Indes Window.

We will start by analysing, using simple drills, how to make the first strike against an opponent who does not counter strike. Then if time permits we will analyse more complex situations. Most importantly you will learn a method to strike the first strike and then the second as stated in the manuscripts [and stated above]. For this workshop you have to have an open and flexible mind and be able to experiment with new concepts. This workshop will challenge the best fighters though NOT the best learners.

Skill level of Participants: Intermediate (few years experience for this weapon)
Needed Equipment: Bring Gloves, Helmet, arm guards. Recommended: only if you want to go heavy, full gear. With control you can use anything.
