In my workshop we are going to have a closer look at the first few Plates of Codex Wallerstein (Cod.I.6.4º.2) and will work with pressure in the binding. I hope you will leave my workshop with a better feeling and control of the bind in a combative context. In my interpretation of the manuscript it wants to teach us a simple, clear and effective way of putting the opponent under physical and mental pressure without having to learn complicated techniques.

About the trainer – Michael Moritz

I was thrilled to start my fencing journey at the Gladiatories in Munich in 2010. I’ve been teaching there as a instructor since 2014.
My role as a coach involves teaching advanced fencers the longsword, as well as various other historical weapons, including the dagger and polearms, especially the “Halbe Stange”.
I also hold a fitness training qualification and am responsible for the athletics training.
In my teachings, I place significant emphasis on body structure and dynamics, as well as the effective and meaningful replication of techniques in a combative context.
