Filipino methods for the use of the staff – striking power, angulation, tactics

The workshop will introduce practical fighting and training techniques for the use of the staff (1,8 – 2 m) as used in the Philippino martial art of Kali. The methods had still been used in the 20th century by Filipino master Kolimbo in full contact prize fights.

About the trainer – Sixt Wetzler
Various martial arts since childhood; Filipino martial art Kali since 25 years; black belt in Enshin Karate (a full contact style); over 20 years experience as Kali trainer, teaching workshops and courses all over Europe.
I am also the director of Deutsches Klingenmusem, the German Blade Museum, in Solingen.
