Wallerstein’s combat wrestling

Elias Flatscher and Špela Šalamon

The workshop goes over selected technique chains from Codex Wallerstein, one of the most complete sources on the rough art of medieval combat wrestling. It covers wrestling techniques, joint locks, strikes and combinations thereof and is closely related to dagger fighting. The workshop focuses on the fundamentals and combinations of selected combat wrestling techniques well-suited for use against a bigger and stronger opponent, all leading to the one goal: total annihilation of the opponent.
